Messi replied to Barcelona and Argentina's official accounts who wished the GOAT on his 37th birthday.
Reigning world champion Lionel Andes Messi turned 37 on Monday. The Barcelona legend has spent 17 years of his iconic career with his boyhood club FCB and there hasn’t been a single instance, even after their parting, that Barca has missed wishing the GOAT on his special day.
On Monday, Barcelona's official Instagram account and other social media handles of the club shared a series of special posts wishing Messi a happy birthday. One of the posts included a video of UK-based painter Archie Wallis drawing a color portrait of the Barcelona great. (you might know Wallis from one of those Emi Martinez paintings or his initials AW)
The video was captioned:
We wish you a very Happy Birthday, 🐐
Messi noticed the post and took to the comment section to express his heartfelt gratitude for wishing him.
He wrote:
Muchas gracias! [In English: Thank you very much]
Barcelona also posted a highlight video on their social media accounts, including Instagram and X(Twitter):
🎂 Happy birthday, Leo Messi! 🥳🐐 pic.twitter.com/d8shiL8rmM

How beautiful is it that even after that heart wrenching end of their story, 'they continue to be friends from afar.' Maybe Messi and Barca is a 'forevermore' after all. Ballad or not, an epic definitely.
